Shadow Switch Review

I hate cleaning make up brushes. Well, I hate cleaning in general... but I really do not enjoy cleaning brushes. I feel like it's the chore of make up and I definitely don't do it as often as I should. When I am doing my eye makeup on a night out, I will switch between colours and either change brushes or just hope for the best. Bad, I know.

I was approached by the guys over at Beauty Essentials (@BeautyEssUK) which is a new brand who are up and coming and trying to bring us in the UK some fun beauty products to try.
- Which I for one love, as I get very annoyed that I don't get to try a lot of products unless I want to pay crazy shipping costs -
They wanted me to try a product of theirs called 'Shadow Switch'. It is a product which allows you to switch between different colour eyeshadows, or powders by swirling your brush in it for only a few seconds! This is a lazy brush cleaner's, dream! I jumped at the chance to try it as I love trying different colours and eye looks with my makeup. It works a treat and is such a simple idea!

It consists of a sponge, that you can replace overtime if you wish, which sits in a cute little tin. It is also compact enough to take with you if you're away for the weekend and don't want to be cleaning your brushes properly but still want to rock that smokey eye.

It really is simple; dip your brush in a shadow, use it, swirl your brush in the Shadow Switch and go straight to another colour! No merging of colours and messing up your eye make up look. I keep it on my vanity for easy access and will definitely take it with me when I travel!

They are changing the packaging from the picture you see at the top of this post. They sent me pictures of the new packaging to show you all. So here it is, in all it's glory:

This product will be launching in Sephora, but for the moment you can get it here for only £5.99 with free shipping!

I personally think this product is totally worth the small price tag as a way of getting that great make up look!

What do you think of this product?

  1. I've heard about these brush cleaners before and I feel as though they're such a good idea! I'm definitely lazy when it comes to cleaning my brushes and I don't have many eye makeup brushes to begin with so something like this would make doing my eye makeup that much easier. Great post xo
