June Favourites

Hello! As you can see from the title, today's post is a June Favourites. This is quite a short list as I haven't changed up my make up much this month, in fact, I haven't really worn it much! But, on the days that I have, I have found that I've reached for a few items more than others. To see what they are, as well as to know what I've been watching and listening to, keep on reading! (The video version can be found at the bottom of this post!)

Makeup:

This is a foundation that I've gone back and forth with using for years. It is a very light, water based foundation. So, if you are a full coverage girl, you will not like this. I find it strangely refreshing to apply and not too heavy to wear during the summer. As we have had a heatwave and some nice weather days recently, makeup isn't something I've wanted to pile on. Therefore, I've found this foundation is a great one for when I want to put something on my face, but not feel caked or uncomfortable. I find that this with concealer is enough coverage for me in the warmer months!

Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in Dark:

This is another item I have had for ages, however, I completely forgot about it. Mineralise Skin Finish powder, is usually used to set the foundation. However, I purchased it in dark and use it as a bronzer to warm up the face. I love the texture and application of the powder, so I thought why not use it as a bronzer instead as I hate patchy bronzer.

I have recently started wearing fake tan again. I think because becoming pregnant, I don't feel at my most attractive, and having a bit of a tan helps a little! As daft as that sounds... I have fallen back in love with the Bondi Sands range. I use a mixture of the mousse and lotion (not at the same time, obviously) both in dark.  I have also purchased the Bondi Sands tan remover which I have used a couple of times and I really like. It's not messy or annoying to use and it does the job. You still have to scrub a little bit at the harder to remove places, but it makes it so much easier to take off that pesky remaining tan!

Okay, so not long ago, I think in my Get Ready With Me video, I stated I don't like beauty sponges. After saying this, I decided to give it one last go to see if my mind could be changed. It was. I still love brushes don't get me wrong, but I have been reaching for this to apply my foundation a lot more than previously. I find that it makes the coverage more natural looking, which is what I prefer during summer. I still don't love it for concealer, because I'm obsessed with hiding the dark under my eyes. But for foundation, I am loving it! I do want to try the Beauty Blender sponges now to see if these work better for me.

Lifestyle:

Love Island:

As you may have read in my June Round Up post, I have been loving Love Island this month. I didn't watch it last year (I don't know why) but I did watch the first season. I'm a sucker for any reality TV programs and tend to get way too invested. But, I don't even care. My favourite people are definitely Camilla, Gabby and Montana. I want to be friends with the both of them. I really am not a fan of Amber due to the blatant lies she seems to tell. I also loved Marcel up until last night, now I am confused to whether I am angry with him or not... I may have made my mind up by the time this post goes up, but I am writing it on Saturday currently. So, last night was the episode where Marcel kissed the girls for a 'task', however, it was more what he said afterwards about not caring about doing it that annoyed me. He also seemed to be super cuddly with the girl in the blue dress a lot. Granted none of these things are major, but like I said, I get way too invested. Also, I really dislike Jonny after making Camilla cry. HOW DARE YOU.

Blink 182 California (Deluxe Edition):

The original California album was a favourite of mine. Usually I don't bother with Deluxe editions of albums as the idea of them generally annoy me. Either wait and put them in a new album, or include them in the original! Anyway, I hadn't come across many new songs or albums recently so I decided to give it a listen. I'm so happy I did. I bloody love the extra songs that are on the album. There is not one that I genuinely dislike. So, if you loved the original album and haven't listened to the deluxe edition, I would thoroughly recommend it!

What have you been loving this month?

  6. I need to find a makeup sponge that I like. When I first tried a cheaper 'beauty blender' I loved it but then I just didn't. Since then I've found that my foundation looks much for fresh and natural when I use my fingers or the real techniques face brush! Lovely post! xx
