October Goals

I decided to do a goals post this month, mainly due to my utter lack of motivation towards life recently. I'm hoping that I will be more likely to be pro-active if I write a list... it might work, maybe? Since having Ryleigh, I have been a whole new level of tired, so it's making doing anything other than looking after her seem like way too much of a task, but I definitely need to get back into the swing of things. So, if you want to know what goals I am hoping to achieve over the next month, keep on reading...
Lifestyle

- Register Ryleigh:

I still haven't registered her birth certificate yet, I really need to do this! There are so many things to remember when it comes to having a baby and you have to try and do it all on no sleep!

- Healthy eating:

I ate pretty healthy before I was pregnant, then my cravings went a tad out of control. Since giving birth, my love of sugar has disappeared, however, it seems to be my entire appetite has gone. I'm trying to get back in shape, but I don't want to do it through just not eating and lose the weight too fast. I'm hoping by the end of this month I will have my appetite back and that healthy eating will give me a bit of energy to get back into fitness in November (I am not allowed to work out yet).

- Save, save, save!

As I am on maternity, I am now earning basically nothing. Therefore, I am going to have to save every penny that I can just to be able to cover bills, pay for my car, buy everything for Ryleigh etc. Joy!

Blogging

- Post more regularly:

I got into a good routine with blogging, however, as I previously mentioned, I lost a lot of motivation towards everything since giving birth. Not having more than 4 hours sleep a night is pretty exhausting after a while and it's definitely impacting my blogging. I'm hoping that over the next month I will get back into it! I do have lots of posts lined up so this goal should get ticked off!

- Youtube:

Again, as with blogging, I had got into a good pattern of uploading YouTube videos. I actually went to film on the 20th of September, however, I went into labour instead, so I think that is a pretty good excuse really. I have a few videos lined up, it's just getting the energy to film, edit and upload it! But this is one I am determined to get completed over October, I'm aiming to get 3 videos up minimum! You can subscribe to my channel here, let me know if you have one too down below!

- Social media:

I recently made a Facebook page for this blog, I'd been putting off doing this for ages because I really don't know how you promote Facebook pages in all honesty. So, if you feel like 'liking it', you would make my day! Also let me know if you would like me to return the favour. I also want to try and grow my Instagram, but it seems basically impossible to do, regardless of how good the content is. However, it is still a goal for October - even if it doesn't seem likely to happen!

- Promote posts:

I have got out of a habit of actually promoting my posts... I've never over promoted or bombarded people but I have mentioned on twitter whenever a new post has gone live to let people know but for some reason I keep forgetting recently! Hopefully I will get back into the habit of writing and promoting throughout this month and be back into the swing of things!

- Halloween tutorials:

I bloody love Halloween. Granted I won't be my drunken self in town this year as I have Ryleigh, but I still love it none the less. As I'm not doing fancy dress myself, I've decided to try and get a couple of makeup tutorials up on my blog and YouTube channel to get in the spirit instead, so, if there are any looks you specifically want to see - leave them down below!

What are your goals this month? Leave them down below, I love reading them!

  2. Going into labour is better than any excuse I've ever had for not uploading!

I'm happy to see you're going to try to upload more, but don't put too much pressure on yourself, you've got a new born after all!

  6. I could relate to the eating healthy and saving goal. Why are they so hard to do though? Haha. Hope you achieve all of these this month!
